Some time ago we updated you on the generator situation. As you have seen and noticed we have had a non related issue with one of the breakers which was repaired within a matter of days. As we speak we are bringing in 2 spare breakers which will give us more flexibility in switching and in cases of repairs on infrastructure. These breakers will be installed in the last 2 weeks of November. As reported the major issue we currently have is the inability to start the generators automatically and to load balance between the 2 generators. This is due to the fact that the control panel (AP800) of the generator is malfunctioning and obsolete. Recently we had the opportunity to source a used AP800 control panel from a fully operational installation. This panel will arrive on island by the end of this month and be installed immediately after that. Once installed this repair will restore fully automatic startup and load balancing. As you will understand these repairs will bring some power outages of which we will inform you. We still intend to replace the current Gensets as there are hardly any replacement parts available and the same situation could easily reoccur. This solution for now however gives us sufficient time to tender properly for generator replacement and organize financing for it. We will keep you posted on planning and progress. Kind regards, |
