Sabana Holdings Ltd. (Sabana) is pleased to announce the long-awaited acquisition of Caribbean Development Antigua Limited (CDAL). This acquisition follows the recent purchase of the Jolly Harbour Marina and Boatyard in May 2021.
We are delighted that we are now able to share this news with you following the completion of the required period of confidentiality.
Jolly Harbour has long been a haven for many of you who have made Antigua your home or vacation space. We understand what it means to you to feel safe, comfortable and adequately supported in all the ways that matter.
With our hands now placed firmly at the helm, we are excited about the many positive changes that are on the way to becoming a reality for all of us.
Jolly Harbour's coveted location, its inherent beauty, and growing amenities provide the perfect platform on which to continue building a great and thriving community. You are the community. Community and growth can only succeed in partnership. We look forward to sharing our plans and ideas with you in the coming months and anticipate your input, suggestions and support.
Initial improvements and developments we plan to pursue:
- Improved communication with homeowners
- Greater security detail and attention
- Construction of additional residential properties
- Rejuvenation of the commercial centre
- Upgrade and beautification of the golf course
- Modernising of utilities
- Improved internet capabilities
We are actively recruiting a General Manager who will be responsible for managing the planned development and operations of Jolly Harbour. Current General Manager Wim Berends will also remain on as a consultant during a transition period. Once confirmed, the new manager will review current operations, resources, policies, and procedures to modernise and improve the community. In addition, we are also assembling a team of mixed-use community professionals and consultants to advise on the master planning of the redevelopment.
In the coming months, you will be invited to a series of Town Hall meetings where we will present information on the planned and ongoing improvements. This is an opportunity for you to offer your feedback, questions and concerns. Through these interactions, we will be working together as you will be actively involved in the regeneration of your community.

What we have planned is no easy task. It will take time, effort, planning, investment, creativity, imagination, and last but not least, patience. We look forward to many wonderful years ahead, building and enjoying the community that we all call home.
