29 Mar Updated JH Notice
Dear Jolly Harbour community – As you may be aware the government of Antigua and Barbuda recently announced a national state of emergency for 2 weeks. This means that all non essential businesses and employees are to remain home for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. As a result CDAL must shut down daily operations for this period. This includes all grounds, maintenance, and general office administration services. This will not impact security and garbage collection as they are deemed an essential service. We will, however, have a small set of essential employees on site should a significant situation develop that needs immediate attention. The daily activities / services, however, will not be functioning. We will be conducting basic accounts office functions from remote locations and will be retrieving all checks left in the accounts office dropbox. You can also continue to make payments by sending in your completed credit card authorization form to [email protected]. Regarding the April 1st deadline for security passes, this has been postponed and further information will be sent out regarding a new deadline. The security team will be informed as such. Please note in addition to the national emergency, the country is under a strict curfew. This curfew is being enforced between the hours of 8 p.m and 6 a.m. This curfew is to be enforced within the confines of Jolly Harbour as well. Security has been instructed to call the police on any person(s) seen out in the community during the curfew hours. Again, we appreciate these changes might create inconveniences on many of us, but it is for the safety of our country as a whole. We hope with proper implementation, this will pass and normalcy shall return. Further notices will follow as information dictates. Thank you. |
